Excuses, excuses...

So I've been on a bit of a hiatus from my clip art for a few months. I took a part-time job at a local sign shop doing graphic design work and that, paired with my elementary school job... well, I was exhausted! Originally, the plan was for me to work p/t until they could afford me full time, but last week they said they couldn't afford to pay me what I needed to be paid (seriously, I wasn't asking much- especially for a graphic design position), so we parted ways.

In the little over three months I was there, I learned a ton about vehicle wraps and such. Pretty cool stuff. I also had the opportunity to design several wraps, logos, and other random stuff.

I'll be adding some of the work I did while I was there to my digital designs portfolio page in the next day or two. For those of you viewing this on blogger, my portfolio is at: peggiejeanie.com!

New! Bright Birdies Clipart

I just posted a fun clipart set called "Bright Birdies" on TpT & TN.

There are 64 different designs, each in full color, black & white, and line drawing!

This is just a cute little set that could come in handy in a number of different situations: worksheets, websites, coloring pages... anything that needs a little something extra.

Ancient Egypt Clipart is Finished!

I just posted my newest clipart set- Ancient Egypt!

The set includes the great pyramids, the sphinx, King Tut, Cleopatra, an Egyptian boy & girl, Anubis, the Eye of Horus, Ankhs, Scarabs, a mummy, and some symbols, all in full color, black and white, and line images.

You might notice I changed the eyes of my little people characters than my two previous sets... my dear bf said the original, colorful eyes were creepy. I guess I can't totally disagree... lol.

Ancient Egypt Clipart...

I am thisclose to being finished with an Ancient Egypt themed clipart pack! With VBS last week (& the prep for VBS the week before), I haven't been able to create nearly as much artwork as I had hoped so far this summer... but hopefully that will all change this week! I've got so many ideas in the works- now I just have to get around to actually drawing!

A couple of weeks ago I took an afternoon to do a little painting (which I haven't really done in a couple of years!?!- not sure how that happened). I think I'm Art-ADD... I like to do so many different types of projects that I start a bazillion and rarely ever completely finish anything. But, as I was saying, I finished a little painting! It's pretty simple, but I think it's pretty cute:

Busy busy busy!

It's been a pretty busy two weeks since my last post...

I posted a simple, 138 image set of striped borders (full page, half page vertical & half page horizontal). This is my first full-border set, though it's quite plain. Mostly, I figure it's good practice, but I am also still deciphering what's worth the effort to make and post and what's not.

Saturday, I finished up my second big clipart set! I'm pretty excited about this one; it's archeology (and a little Indiana Jones) themed! The set is called Archaeology Adventures (for obvious reasons) and has 107 images (full color, black and white, and line drawings!).

The actual images are even more awesome than the preview- they have more shadow and color depth and are totally amazing. I really love 'em!

Officially up and running!

My new Teachers Pay Teachers clipart site is live!

Apparently, the first product you upload to the site has to be free, so I did a quick little sample of my Beach Fun packet, complete with 8 full color hibiscus, 1 black and white hibiscus, and 1 border.

Welcome!

Welcome new friends! I'm just starting out in the clipart business... my sister (a 2nd grade teacher) has been asking me to create clipart for her worksheets and projects for a while now, and I'm finally getting around to working on her ginormous list of "suggestions" she gave me.

My first collection is going to be beach themed. This wasn't on her list, but I thought it would be a good, fun, {hopefully} easy way to kickstart my new adventure.

Stay tuned for tons of images, backgrounds, borders, and designs!
